I'm reminded of a cosmetic commercial on TV years ago - the supermodel tosses her head of luxurious silky hair in the way that only a supermodel can, looks into the camera and says, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."
If the USA is hated because of its effectiveness, that will just have to be our cross to bear.
If other nations envy us, they can try to emulate us a bit more.
Yes, we are no theocratic paradise on earth, and yes, we have more corruption in business and politics than we wish we had, but to my mind the underlying fabric of the USA is the unspoken social contract that accepts the tennents of our Declaration Of Independance and Constiution.

Instead of using the CD index, use your computer's "FIND" or "SEARCH" function to locate files on the CD which CONTAIN the word THERMODYNAMICS. The search will take a fairly long time, but it should return every article that mentioned the word.

That's right! The amount of energy liberated is LESS than the amount of energy that went into growing the tree, cutting it down an d turning it into a book!!

They were en route to the Windsor area to visit family to celebrate the birthday... But instead of going to a birthday party, dozens of family and friends attended a memorial service for Jamie and her dead children.
So there was a happy ending after all - an opportunity to declare the loving sovreignty of Jehovah God and the hope of paradise.
In Dub legalism, perhaps the fact that they had NOT YET celebrated the verboten birthday permitted them a Dub funeral. If this had happened on their way home from the birthday, they'd have been damned.
